Velonomy

Velonomy is a community bike hub that facilitates the service and repair of bicycles entirely supported by the local community. In light of COVID19, our climate emergency, and the recent cuts to subsidised London travel this work is needed more than ever. Velonomy facilitates community skills sharing that enables people to explore our environments and with full autonomy. Their aim is to create a space where you can tend to your bike, keep it roadworthy, learn about servicing and maintenance and build community.

NKG’s head of operations, Raphael, incepted the Velenomy project and started to build out a small pilot in Autumn 2020. This community bicycle repair hub seeks to offer a space for congregation and knowledge sharing. NKG built links with North London’s esteemed Zabludowicz Collection Gallery who generously provided a physical home for the initiative. NKG created Velonomy’s digital identity as well as its associated design collateral and mission statement; we continue to nurture its growing team of volunteers and have been successful in securing community funding to further grow the project.
